You can't make this up

So my kids always want to be with me, most days I'm really glad about it, somedays I just need a little space. Well as you can see we have this gate at the top of our second floor stairs for safety reasons and for the most part it has kept our kids safe. However, Madison decided that while I ran downstairs to get Jaden's medicine before bed (we were trying to get everyone ready for bed and trying to keep them all contained) she was going to try and follow me. She tried to squeeze in between the floor and the gate and got stuck. She called to me, "Mommy....I Stuck" I'm glad she wasn't hurt, but this girl is too resourceful.

One day I know she is going to hate me for this picture.

Nine 1/2 month Old

My sweet little boy. So I've been a little busy to post an update on Jaden. He is now 9 1/2 months old, and too cute. Yes I realize I should have posted this picture on the 1st of April but seeing as we were in the midst of trying to get ready for vacation and now getting back from vacation time is crazy, I figured I would at least post something now.

Here is a little about this little guy. Yes he is tiny, he weighed 13lbs 15 oz at his 9 month appointment, yes he has dropped off the growth chart, significantly. His head has kept pace with growing but it seems his body has slowed down. The doctor has said that he is too small (if you know me well you know that I am not a tall woman and rather small myself) I have tried desperately to eat enough calories to give him during while nursing (hence the 15lbs I cannot seem to get rid of). It's not that he doesn't eat, because he does eat. He eats 3 meals a day of jar foods, I am still nursing 4-5 times a day even at night. He just has the metabolism of a fish, he can't seem to gain weight. He is not into textured foods although over vacation he really started enjoying bread, and now I can get him to eat rice, pancakes, bagels, macaroni and cheese, corn, peas and for the first time today a honey baked ham. Once he is done eating his textured food he still wants jar food which I happily oblige but he is still not gaining weight, which the doctors think why he is not sleeping through the night, he's just hungry all the time. So we wait and pray that he will gain some wait, I have tried giving him formula, Michael has tried giving him formula the boy just does not like it, he in fact hates it and cries at every try. Hopefully he will like milk in 2 1/2 months, we'll see. He is not crawling although the doctors believe he will probably skip crawling and go right to walking since he can pull himself up, but at this moment they hope he doesn't crawl so that he will keep any weight he gains on his little frame. He is a very happy baby, and cut two teeth while we were in FL, I believe a few more are coming in, he seems a little cranky at night. He loves his sisters and his Daddy, but it is me he always wants. Something about being with mom makes him feel very comforted. I know one day I will miss this, but it does make my days very exhausting. Not having slept in 10 months my body is definitely on the way to giving out. Somedays I'm very cranky and tired and some days I can cope. I am grateful for this beautiful child but I wish he would sleep, maybe he would grow some more than too.

Our trip to FL

We went to Florida for spring break this year, my parents have a time share one mile out side of Disney. We didn't tell the girls we were going to Disney just FL. We left early Saturday morning the Sat before Palm Sunday we were on the road by 8:00am pretty impressive considering there are six of us. We drove pretty hard the first day and made it all the way to Jacksonville FL around 10:00pm. The kids did really well, Jaden had some rough spots, especially around 8:00 bed time, but he eventually fell asleep until we got to the hotel. When we woke up on Sunday we had only 2 and a half hours left to drive, which was really nice. As it is with all vacations your so excited to get there and just relax and try not to rush all your time away. Well if it were up to the girls we would have done everything in the first day. We wound up getting settled and going swimming at the time share it was a beautiful day. We took the kids to the Magic Kingdom on Monday so Michael would be able to spend a good amount of time with them before he unfortunately had to fly out to CA on business for the rest of the week. The kids had a great time spending the week with Mommy and Mima and Papa but they did miss Michael.

Our first night there we went to Disney's Boardwalk and had dinner, the girls were so excited once they found out we were at Disney.

The next day on the monorail to Disney's Magic Kingdom.
With Mima and Papa at Magic Kingdom.

With Walt and Mickey.

At the end of the week we had dinner at the Grand Floridian with Cinderella and the Prince unfortunately the pictures did not come out well so I don't have any to post.

We also took the kids to Busch Gardens while we were in FL a crazy story I don't wish to repeat but I'm glad it's over. The kids had a great time at Dinosaur Land for the short amount of time we actually got to spend in the park.

I was afraid Madison would be afraid on this hanglider ride and told Kaleigh not to make it bounce, meanwhile Madison is the one that made it bounce. She is so fearless sometimes.

With the exceptions of the traffic on the way home, it took 2 days instead of the 15 hours it should have, we had an awesome time, we definitely enjoyed the memories.

Pool Day

Just got back from spring break, I will post pictures and details later, I have to sort through the 100's. In the mean time, my dear friend Heather and I get together on Monday mornings and do something together. Her sweet little boy loves the girls and the girls always asks when the Garn's are coming over. A couple of weeks ago we went to Cub Run Rec Center and went swimming. I can't believe I'm actually posting pictures of me in a bathing suit. I can't wait to start weaning Jaden so I can shed these extra pounds, it's killing me. If only he would gain some serious weight (more on that in a later post) I could start exercising. Enjoy the pictures.

She didn't like the water at first and only wanted to sit on the side of the pool.

She absolutely refused to let go.
This is pretty much how Kaleigh spent the entire time, in the water, she's just a fish.

Elijah is such a cute, sweet little boy. This picture doesn't do him justice.

Madison liked this part of the water and can't wait to go back swimming, and here is Jaden before his haircut, he just desperately needed it.
