Had the kids evaluated by Lamons Educare a wonderful man who sits on the school board for Fairfax County. He has been doing these evaluations for years and it takes about an hour. I was so proud of the girls they answered the questions with confidence, read for him and showed him all of our paper work that we have done over the year, including posters workbooks, photos and tests. This has been such a learning year for all of us and to hear the words that the girls not only "passed" but we are all doing extremely well. Praise God for his continued strength through this year. We will continue to work on our school work...all though not at the same insane pace but our school year will not end just because we were tested but when we are ready to take a break.

House of Bounce
We've had kind of a stressful week getting ready to do testing for our homeschool, so to blow off some steam and allow the kids a chance to excercise we went to the House of Bounce in Manassas. It's one of those moon bounce places that you would normally go to for parties but during the week they don't have any parties so they have select open house hours. It's great for an hour and a half or two hours they bounce and run around for a small fee. This one had two very large climbing/sliding type things and a regular round jump one. We loved it and the kids behaved well, now they want to know when can we go back.
This is actually higher than it looks.
This is one of those over the mountain and through obstacle type ones, Madison didn't like it at first I had to go through with her at first but then she went all by herself.
Ice Pops
Ice Pops are the requirement for summer and since we had some really hot days (I have turned on my air condition in April..kind of crazy) we thought we'd have some for dessert.. Jordan doesn't eat ice pops so there are no pictures of her...that girl doesn't know what she's missing.
Another requirement we have to figure out what color your tongue turns.
This is his first ice pop and while it might not look like he's enjoying it, he would not give it up when I tried to clean him up.

I should have gotten a really good picture afterwards but he was getting frustrated with it dripping down his chest.

Easter Happenings
The county along with the city of Fairfax and Chick-fil-A held an Easter Egg hunt complete with face painting balloons and lots of candy. The kids had a ball, the weather was perfect and they separated it out by age group so the little ones were not trampled by the big kids. Jaden didn't know what to do at first but he sure did get the hang of it.
The Chick-fil-A cows.
Getting ready to pick up the eggs behind him, had his balloon and bag ready.

Loved her smile.
The loved it.
It didn't take long for him to get the hang of it.
The Easter egg painted on her face looks like a big painted spot.
The Easter Bunny won the race against the cows.
She was fast and ready.
Satisfied with her take...
Her shirt says it all.
Getting into the music.
The big kids clearly were the fastest it was like watching a vacuum cleaner.
He wanted to know why he couldn't do it again.
Checking out what they got.
We didn't match this year but they were all dressed for spring and the weather he could not have been more beautiful.
Can you believe he's 21 months old. Its crazy.
I'm wondering where my little girl went, check out the heels on her shoes.
Spring Baskets.
He really liked his basket. All of them were filled with a book, bubbles, a little candy and some eggs filled with a little change.
We took the kids to Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson, since we did a broad brush stroke of presidents in Co-Op. They really enjoyed it and learned a lot. I had no idea that he wrote the Declaration of Independence at the age of 33....so young. Brilliant man, not perfect he still could not live without his slaves, but he had a brilliant mind and clearly a heart for God.
